District Magistrate Holds Meeting with Officials for Timely and Successful Census Operations

Gonda: A crucial meeting regarding the smooth and timely conduct of the upcoming census operations was held at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan.

The meeting was attended by the Additional District Magistrate, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, District Inspector of Schools, District Basic Education Officer, Block Education Officers, Executive Officers of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats, along with officials from various concerned departments. The primary objective of the meeting was to establish coordination among departments and finalize the operational framework before the commencement of the census work.

Addressing the officials, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan described the census as a task of national importance, stating that it is not merely a collection of data but the foundation for policy-making and developmental planning in the country. She directed all departments to complete preparations in a systematic and time-bound manner to ensure that no obstacles arise during the process.

The District Magistrate emphasized that all officers and employees must perform their duties with sincerity, honesty, and dedication. She instructed departmental heads to ensure proper training and guidance for subordinate staff engaged in the census work.

Detailed discussions were held regarding various phases of the census process, deployment of employees, training arrangements, maintenance of records, and area-wise responsibilities. The District Magistrate further stressed that transparency and accuracy should remain the highest priorities during the census operation.

She warned that any negligence, indifference, or laxity in the execution of duties would not be tolerated, and strict action would be taken against those found responsible for lapses.

Concluding the meeting, the District Magistrate urged all departments to work in coordination for the successful completion of the census exercise, describing it as one of the government’s priority programmes requiring complete responsibility and seriousness from all officials involved.
